Street of Open Heart
Serbian President Boris Tadić and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dačić attended the traditional “Street of Open Heart” event, which is organized on the first day of every new year. Ada Bridge Opening
On New Years Eve the Ada Bridge was opened for pedestrians.

New Year’s Cocktail
The Ministry of Justice’s traditional New Year’s cocktail in the Serbian Palace brought together a number of personalities from politics - Prime Minister Mirko Cvetković, Deputy Prime Minister Ivica Dačić, Ministers of the Serbian Government Dragan Šutanovac, Dušan Petrović, Srdjan Srećković, Zarko Obradović, German Ambassador Wolfram Maas and leaders of almost every state institution and media outlet.

The Military House of Guards
The Military House of Guards in Topcider was too small to accommodate all the guests at the reception by the Minister of Defence and Chief of General Staff of Serbia, which traditionally, is organised on the occasion of the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays. The curiosity of this year’s ceremony was that the role of host, besides the Defence Minister Dragan Sutanovac included the newly appointed chief of staff, generals and Diković Miletić.

IWC Charity Bazaar
Many embassies participated with a stand at the IWC Christmas Charity Bazaar. The  event  organized  by  the International  Women’s  Club  took place  in  Belgrade  Fair  -  Hall  5,  on December 4th. Guests at this year’s bazaar  were  provided  with  countless  opportunities  to  buy  beautiful gifts and taste food and drinks from all  over  the  world,  many  of  them served by ambassadors.

Evening of International Cuisine
An  Evening  of  International Cuisine  at  the White  Palace, Belgrade,   13th   December, was   hosted   by   the   Royal Highnesses  Crown   Prince Alexander  II  and  Princess Katherine. A  traditional  dinner  of  international  cuisine, was also held on Wednesday 14th  December,  again  in  the White Palace.

UAE National Day
The  non-resident  Ambassador  to Serbia H.E. Mr Abdul Aziz bin Nasser Alshamsi  and  H.E.  Mrs.  Madame Abdulaziz  Nasser  Alshamsi  hosted an  event  held  on  the  13th  December in  the  Hyatt  Hotel,  Belgrade,  to  celebrate  the  40th  anniversary  of  the United  Arab  Emirates  National  Day.
Guests were treated to Serbian dance performances  and  a  raffle  was  held for the chance to win flights to Dubai.

Japanese Emperor Birthday

Consultation on CSR
H.E. To celebrate the National Day of Algeria, the Ambassador of the  People’s  Democratic  Republic  of Algeria  to  Serbia  H.E. The White Book 2011

Alliance of Civilizations

The United Nations, together with the Serbian Government, embraced civilizations and cultures at a Gala Concert celebrating the Alliance of Civilizations. The  Gala  was  the  peak  event  that  commemorated  the  66th  anniversary  of the  UN.  The  event  took  place  at  the  Ilija M.  Kolarac,  hosted  by  UN  Resident Coordinator  Willam  S.  Infante  (left),  Serbian  Vice-Prime  Minister  Bozidar Djelic,  and  UN  High  Representative  Jorge  Sampaio.  The  concert  featured a  program  “Under  One  Roof”  which  comprised  of  four  works  by  celebrated Serbian composer Aleksandar Simic.

Ceremony at the business centre of Grand Motors

At a ceremony at the business centre of Grand Motors, the U.S. Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Mary Warlick, handed over the keys to six vehicles for the emergency room, a gift of the European U.S. Army
Command, equipped by Grand Motors. The vehicles were donated to the Military Medical Academy, Clinical Centre Dr Dragisa Misovic, Institute for Mother and Child in Belgrade, the City hospital in Krusevac and the Emergency Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The champion

Polish army day

The Polish Army Day was celebrated with a big reception at the Polish Embassy in Belgrade. The Polish Ambassador to Serbia H.E. The 201st anniversary of Mexico’s independence was celebrated at a lavish reception that took place in Belgrade’s Hyatt Regency Hotel. The Mexican Ambassador to Serbia H.E.
